Children’s Health and Children’s Rights

The CCISD strongly believes that health is a basic human right, not a privilege.  Accordingly, it adheres to the principles of the international Convention on the Rights of the Child, a document which has been ratified by 191 countries. Children’s rights in relation to health care is an issue the CCISD has taken to heart. We are currently developing a project on AIDS and children’s rights in Western Africa.
